June 2008: Quakers Walk gates tidied up!

Members of the QWPG have tidied up the gates and the immediate area at the southern end of the walk by cutting back the ivy and bushes which have grown over the wall and railings. They have also cleared the grass which had grown over the cobbled aprons on both sides of the gates. The work has helped to show off the gates to a degree of their former glory, as well as giving people a great new view when approching Quakers Walk from the Hospital Bridge. We have already had some very positive responses from councillors and passers by alike.
